new camera


my old camera is broken. when i brought it to the repair shop, they told me it probably wasn't worth fixing. so i bought a new one - good thing the craps tables were good to me!
after some research, i decided on the canon sd870. I'll take some pictures this week and post them so you guys can see some results.
i'm also supposed to be taking a digital photography class this spring at the college where i work. my boss suggested it, and i'm totally psyched!

Back from Vegas

a play that my friend mark wrote is being performed at the access theater's gallery space in nyc through this weekend. i went saturday night with morel, and we enjoyed it. so i'm giving it a shameless plug. go see it. it's a dark comedy, so you can do as we did and go see the tree at rockefeller afterwards. the warm fuzzy feeling comes back...or that may have been the wine...

a welcome e-mail forward...

...is an unusual thing.

to be quite honest, i very rarely read them. but today i got an e-mail from jHo, who doesn't often send them. And it absolutely spoke to my current, very confused, state of mind.

good news amidst the crap

i got a message from caroline on saturday night, telling me to call her immediately. of course i freaked out - was she okay? was avery? her fiance, brian?

the three of them are actually doing very well - caroline found out that she is pregnant again! caroline and brian, who are getting married in january, are expecting their first child together, and they are ecstatic. avery is going to be a big sister!


i will be heading down to atlanta right after new years, for caroline and brians wedding.

avery is getting so big! and now she gets to be a big sister!

i couldn't be happier for them. congrats!!

i need a vacation.
