adam is here...cue drunken festivities

eamon's bf/college roommate was transferring to a base in california, and stopped in the fort for a few days on his way. adam's a lot of fun, so i knew it was going to be a good time. though there were a few glitches in our plans, it turned out mostly okay.

wednesday: adam got here at least an hour early. even though i left work early, i barely beat him to the house. we (along with dave + anne) headed down to denver to see brian clancy perform at fado's. unfortunately he was sick or something so we drove all the way down for nothing. ate some dinner than drove back and played pool, ping pong and darts at coopersmiths.

thursday: it snowed in wyoming overnight, and halfway on my commute to work my boss told me to turn around. i heart working from home (especially on my brand new laptop!). we went to new belgium brewery and did a self guided tour and beer tasting. unfortunately i didn't really like any of the beers we tried. at night we went to sundance to play in the beer pong tournament. unfortunately andrew got stuck in wyoming so we had an odd number of people. i was the best gf ever and let them play together while me and my favorite bartender justin had ice fights.

friday: wydot was still advising no unnecessary travel, even though the roads were really not bad. i got a lot of work done during the day and was able to party hearty friday night. started the night at stonehouse and danced the night away at zydecco's.

saturday: adam left in the morning (he had to be in cali by sunday night). snow came home from baghdad so we all went down to denver to celebrate. it was good to hang with everyone and great to see snow again, so it was mostly a good time.

sunday: really just recovered for most of the day. we do trivia on sunday nights at coopersmiths. despite our best score to date, our team (eastcoastbias) was ranked in the lower half of the teams.
