(still) hangin' tough (?)

The screaming fans were a lot older, but so were the New Kids on the Block when they reunited on NBC's "Today" show Friday morning."Today" co-host Meredith Vieira dropped a curtain and out came Jordan and Jonathan Knight, Donnie Wahlberg, Joey McIntyre and Danny Wood wearing suits.The group members are all in their mid- to late 30s, but ready to rock 'n' roll again for the first time in the 20 years since they released their multiplatinum album "Hangin' Tough."

Wahlberg said they've been working on a new album since August and they hope to tour in the fall.The Boston-based boy band New Kids on the Block, which sold 70 million albums in its heyday, has reunited and plans to release a new album and go on tour.The reunion comes 20 years after the release of the group's multi-platinum album, "Hanging Tough."Band member Wahlberg told the Boston Herald the fan response to the reunion has been "incredible."Wahlberg said that he was convinced to get back together with his former bandmates when they decided to record new music.Wahlberg assures fans, however, they will also play the old songs on tour.
