very lightweight mini-laptop was delivered today. sally and i both got one. we had been tossing around the idea of creating a "crisis bag" to hold everything we would need for emergencies at the College. the idea being is that we could leave our office with it at a moments notice. we had been planning on getting (full-size) laptops, but when we came across the eee, we realized that it had everything we needed in a more compact package, and at a much cheaper cost.
just starting playing with it, but i will let you know how it goes. it's wireless and has a built-in webcam that could be useful. i'll definitely be bringing this little guy to meetings and conferences (more room to pack shoes). it will fit in most of my pocketbooks without any trouble.
