do you kaboodle?

i have composed sonnets to kaboodle before, but i pretty much left it up to you to witness the awesomeness on your own.

no more.

now i'm going to force feed you.

for all of you just tuning in (hi), kaboodle is a social shopping community. yes, there are others out there. but this is what i use. and i'm still unlocking it's secret powers.

to get started, i added the kaboodle tool to my firefox toolbar. when i'm surfing the net, and i see something i like, i click the icon and it adds the item and all of its pertinent information to one of my kaboodle lists.

here's where it gets fun.

when it gets posted to your list, it shows you everyone else that has also kaboodled that item (not sure if thats a verb, but i just made it one), other items that may be related, other lists that it has been included on, etc.

ergo...i saw this dress at nordstrom's site a while back:
and i added it to my kaboodle list that i cleverly titled "playing dress up" (not that clever, i know). i see that other people have added the dress (9 so far) . which means that they may have similar styles to me. so i can check out all of their lists to see what they have found. i can also ask them to be my friend so that i can keep track of everything they add in an easier manner.

on the related side, kaboodle pulls things that may be related. So other dresses by that designer, dresses in the same style or price range, or at the same store.

but, my friends, kaboodle is not just for shopping. i use kaboodle as a recipe box and resource for crafty ideas. see a recipe you like? kaboodle it. see diy instructions on how to create a jewelry frame (more on that later)? kaboodle it.

it's online window shopping with an infinite number of friends. how fabulous can you get?
