eamon and i are going to joe and karla's wedding in october, prior to him leaving for greenland. a bunch of our friends from fort collins will be coming, so i am very excited. especially because it is in newport!
wedding at regatta placei heart newport, which is only about 35 minutes from my house back home. but because it was so close to where we will be, booking a hotel was not a big priority for us. it just kind of went to the back of my mind. i thought eamon was going to book it, and he though i was.
we got the save the date months ago, telling us to get one now because it is during columbus day weekend and oktoberfest. when i checked today there was nothing available that was close to the reception. but when i called the hyatt regency on the phone, they told me they had two rooms left for the tobin wedding. hooray!

can't wait to show everyone around newport - it's such a fun place and it really is beautiful. samantha and i go out on "dates" there and did a lot of alcohol promotions downtown. they have really great shopping (including my ex's family store "Christmas by the Sea"), so i better find a job!
